Jack Clarke tells Tottenham midfielder that he is his ‘inspiration’ on Instagram
Jack Clarke earned his second senior Tottenham Hotspur appearance on Thursday night as he came off the bench during the club’s 4-0 win over Bulgarian side Ludogorets – and he has told a Spurs teammate that they are his “inspiration” on Instagram.
Clarke, who turned 20 earlier this month, is said to have impressed Jose Mourinho in training after returning from a loan spell at QPR during the second half of last term. He joined Spurs for a fee believed to be in the region of £10million in 2019.
The England Under-20 cap made his debut for Tottenham as a very late substitute against LASK, and was handed 22 minutes against Ludogorets on Thursday night. Goals from Lucas Moura, Harry Winks and a Carlos Vinicius brace earned victory.
Dele Alli also played and last 82 minutes, shining for Jose Mourinho’s side as he laid on an assist for Vinicius’ second goal and created Moura’s effort – albeit not getting the assist, but the pre-assist. He posted on Instagram.

Clarke is some way down the pecking order at Spurs. The signing of Gareth Bale has seen Mourinho add to his options out wide – along with Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn, Lucas, Erik Lamela and Ryan Sessegnon – the latter in which has gone out on loan.
But it appears Clarke has an “inspiration” at Tottenham, telling Alli on the latter’s Instagram post that he looks up to the former MK Dons star. Despite his lack of game time, it is clear that Alli is having an impression on Tottenham’s younger players.
