Report: Tottenham have option to recall Jack Clarke from Leeds in January
A fresh twist has emerged in the Jack Clarke saga as report that Tottenham could choose to recall the youngster from Leeds in January and send him elsewhere.
The 18-year-old has struggled to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season. He rejoined Leeds on loan after signing for Tottenham in a deal worth £8.5 million during the summer.
Clarke has been restricted to just two appearances in the Carabao Cup this season and was withdrawn at half time in the second round match against Stoke City.

In the league, the youngster hasn’t even been in Bielsa’s squad for the last four games of the club’s Championship campaign.
That won’t impress Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and Leeds now face this risk of playing Clarke or losing him in January.
One thing that isn’t helping Leeds’ case to include Clarke is the number of loan players in their squad. Rules permit five loan players in a matchday squad and the Whites currently have six, meaning one misses out each game .
TBR Verdict – Interesting few months await for Clarke
It has been a whirlwind couple of months for the Tottenham youngster. Having completed his switch to Tottenham he was then loaned back to Leeds to play regular first-team football.
That hasn’t transpired though and he has found himself on the fringes of Bielsa’s first-team.
Not a single party is benefiting from the current arrangement and if it persists is seems highly likely that Tottenham will choose to send the Leeds man elsewhere.

At 18, playing football is paramount for Clarke’s development and the hope will be that the winger can challenge for his place at Tottenham in a year’s time.
Pochettino needs to do what is best for his player and Bielsa is playing a very dangerous game indeed.
