Izzy Brown sends Instagram message to Josh Onomah, as Fulham beat Leeds United
Izzy Brown has praised Fulham star Josh Onomah on Instagram after the attacking midfielder scored the winner against Leeds United at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon, in a 2-1 win for Scott Parker’s side.
Leeds suffered their first league defeat since October 5 as Aleksandr Mitrovic and Onomah both found the back of the net, cancelling out Patrick Bamford’s tap-in. Fulham took the lead early on, Mitrovic squeezing a penalty past Kiko Casilla.
Bamford equalised after a brilliant ball from Gjanin Alioski was turned goalwards by Eddie Nketiah. The shot was parried by Marek Rodak, only for Bamford to tap home. But another corner saw Leeds lose all three points in west London.

The Whites failed to clear the set-piece and Mitrovic’s battle with Ben White saw the ball drop 12 yards out, allowing Onomah to hammer an effort into the top corner. It sees the gap between second and third reduce to eight points.
Garry Monk’s Sheffield Wednesday have edged closer to the top two, though there is still a considerable difference. Leeds were eight points clear at this point last season, but slipped in the second half of the season and finished in the play-offs.
Former Leeds loanee Brown made only of two appearances for Leeds in the play-offs, and now-Luton Town star applauded Onomah for his goal and efforts on Saturday afternoon – responding to Onomah’s Instagram post.
