‘I’ve got a connection’: Harry Winks’ previous comments suggest Valencia move is possible
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is being linked with a move away from the club this month, despite his recently impressive display against Leeds United.
, Valencia are keen on the midfielder. Manager Javi Gracia is a fan of his from his time managing Watford in the Premier League and Winks is said to be Los Che’s number one target for the winter.
Of course, a move to Spain might not be the culture shock some might imagine for a player like Winks.
Whilst born and raised in Hemel Hempstead, the 24-year-old has Spanish roots.

Winks’ grandparents are Spanish and there were even rumours of a call up for La Roja back in 2017.
The player himself has previously spoken of his ‘connection’ to Spain so a move to La Liga would undoubtedly not be off the table for the 10-cap England international.
“I’ve got Spanish grandparents and I’ve got a connection with Spain,” Winks“But I consider myself English and I want to play for England. That’s what I’ve said all along,”
Winks’ style of play is certainly suited to the Spanish game. A technically gifted midfielder with a sublime eye for a pass and comfortable in possession, it could be argued Spain is the perfect destination for him.
The report claims any move to Valencia would likely be a loan deal. Maybe that could see Winks return to Tottenham at the end of the season an improved player.
Whilst it seems far-fetched at first, WInks to Valencia makes more sense than you realise.
