Ivan Cavaleiro replies to Kalvin Phillips on Instagram after Leeds win
Fulham forward Ivan Cavaleiro has labelled Kalvin Phillips a beast after responding to the Leeds United star’s post on Instagram following the Whites’ win over Hull City.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side produced one of their best performances of the season at the KCOM Stadium.
A brace from Tyler Roberts, as well as goals from Luke Ayling and Pablo Hernandez saw the promotion-chasers claim a 4-0 victory.
Leeds recovered from a somewhat lacklustre first-half display and produced a remarkable second-half performance.
The second goal certainly seemed to make a big difference. The visitors played with a lot more freedom and made sure to put the game to bed before the full-time whistle.
There were a number of man of the match candidates. But, for the first time in a long time, Phillips was perhaps not one of them.
The midfielder has been sensational since his return from suspension. But his performance went a little more under the radar with many others stealing the headlines.
Nevertheless, he has received praise from an arguably unlikely source. Cavaleiro – the £15 million signing () who helped Fulham move back to within five points of Leeds later on in the day – responded to Phillips’s Instagram post.
