‘It’s over’… International manager now shares interesting update on 24-year-old Arsenal player’s future
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has now made an important admission regarding the future of Arsenal’s Kai Havertz for his national team.
Arsenal’s primary focus will be on a difficult fixture against Brighton Hove Albion today – a game in which Kai Havertz seems likely to start.

However, the Germany boss has recently been speaking on the forward’s new role playing as a left-back for his country.
Mikel Arteta watched his new forward play as both a left-back and a left-wing-back during the last international break, something that didn’t continue at Arsenal.
And speaking to , Nagelsmann admitted that the experiment with Arsenal’s Havertz was now over.
He said: “Yes, it’s over. Although it wasn’t a failure. He played two very good games.”
And although it was an interesting one to follow, Arsenal fans will probably consider that good news.
Havertz is starting to go from strength to strength at the club upon becoming more familiar and settled in his role.
Perhaps it has been a little understated just how much Havertz has had to adapt at Arsenal, and such drastic change at international level surely didn’t help.
Julian Nagelsmann won’t consider Arsenal’s Kai Havertz at left-back again
Of course, such an experience could actually bode well for Havertz in the long run.
It should be considered promising that someone like Nagelsmann sees such a deep skill-set in Arsenal’s Havertz, one that can cope with such a big change.

Moreover, it bodes well in general just how much all of Havertz’s managers talk up his ability.
Even PSV Eindhoven boss Peter Bosz couldn’t resist the chance to compliment the German international following this week’s European affair.
The future is certainly bright for Havertz at both Germany and Arsenal, and his versatility will be a huge asset.
Havertz is likely to return to the number eight position for Arteta against Brighton today, a difficult match for the Gunners.
Brighton have proven to be something of a ‘bogey side’ for Arsenal of late, much like Crystal Palace for Manchester City.
And with Palace stealing a late point against Arsenal’s rivals, today presents a big opportunity.
