‘It’s obviously false news’: Ryan Sessegnon reacts to worrying rumour about ‘world-class’ Tottenham man

Tottenham Hotspur star Ryan Sessegnon has claimed that Spurs players have not been affected by rumours linking their manager, Antonio Conte, with a move away from the club.
The North Londoners were in serious trouble back in November last year when Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked and Conte was appointed as the new boss. But, the Italian has well and truly transformed the club over the last six months.
Yes, results have not always gone Conte’s way, but the improvement in the quality of the players – individually and collectively – just shows how incredible he is as a manager.
Tottenham are battling hard in the race for the top four. There’s a chance they might miss out, which has given rise to worrying rumours about the Italian walking away and joining a club where he’ll have a greater chance of winning silverware.
Ryan Sessegnon: Tottenham players aren’t unsettled by Antonio Conte rumours
Sessegnon, who has featured fairly regularly under Conte since his arrival, was asked if Spurs players are worried or unsettled about all the talk around their manager’s future beyond the end of this season.
The 21-year-old said, as per : “Not really, not at all. We’re professionals and we focus on our game.
“You heard him yourself, it’s obviously false news. He’s focusing on here at the club. As players, we’re just focusing on our job going forward and that’s all we can do.”
Sessegnon further said he hoped Conte stays: “Of course, he’s a top manager and he’s shown that with us this season. We hope he’s here next season and for us, the main objective is to get in that top four and then prepare for next season.”

TBR View:
It must be extremely hard for players to know there’s a chance that their manager could walk away right after the season ends.
However, Sessegnon’s right, there’s not a lot they can do apart from focusing on their job going forward.
Branded as a ‘world-class’ boss by Ben Davies, Conte is arguably the best manager Spurs have had over the last two decades. He is among the best in the world, and keeping hold of him has to be Tottenham’s priority this summer.
However, if PSG come calling as rumours have led us to believe, there’s a very high chance that the Italian could leave, which is extremely worrying if you’re a Spurs fan.
