‘It will be’: Manager believes his ‘remarkable’ player is going to sign for Arsenal soon

New England Revolution manager Bruce Arena has assured that Matt Turner will complete his move to Arsenal very soon.
The Gunners wanted to bring in a new goalkeeper in January as Bernd Leno’s future was up in the air. The German lost his place to Aaron Ramsdale at the Emirates and it doesn’t look like he’ll play again for Arsenal.
Multiple rumours linked Leno with a move away last month. That forced Arsenal to look for a new man between the sticks and Turner, labelled as ‘‘ by his boss Arena, reportedly became the chosen one.
However, that move has not been announced yet, even though we are two days into February already.
Bruce Arena: Matt Turner will join Arsenal soon
Leno stayed at Arsenal despite all the rumours last month. That eliminated Arsenal’s immediate need for a new goalkeeper, but everyone at the club is almost certain that the German will move on in the summer.
As a result, Arsenal targetted Turner for next season but a deal was expected to be completed before the end of last month. That didn’t happen, but Arena has assured fans that it’s only a matter of time before it will be done.
The New England Revolution boss said, as per : “If it hasn’t been fully executed, it will be.”

TBR View:
Turner is expected to come in next summer and become Ramsdale’s deputy. That’s one less thing for Arsenal to worry about, but they’ll still have a lot of work to do.
The Gunners may be left with zero strikers in the summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already left the club, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are expected to move on after their contracts expire at the end of this season.
Arsenal may have to sign not one, but two top-quality strikers. That will not be easy, but Edu and Mikel Arteta have to find a way to get the job done before the start of the next campaign.
