Ipswich fans react as Arsenal’s Mark McGuinness joins on loan

A number of Ipswich Town fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight that they have completed a deal to sign Mark McGuiness on loan from Arsenal.

The Tractor Boys are setting the early pace in League One. Paul Lambert’s men have won their opening two games. They are also one of only two sides who are yet to concede a goal this term.

Nevertheless, Ipswich have strengthened their defensive options further. that McGuinness has arrived from the Gunners on loan for the season.

McGuinness is yet to make his senior debut for Mikel Arteta’s side. However, the 19-year-old was involved with the first-team in pre-season.

He scored a superb header for Arsenal in their win at MK Dons. He also captained the under-21s and was a standout performer in their EFL Trophy clash with Ipswich earlier this month.

And that is why many Ipswich fans are clearly delighted that they have landed the Gunners youngster.

Lambert already has a number of centre-backs at his disposal, and yet, many are clearly confident that McGuinness can bring a lot to the team.
