‘Interesting deals’… Celtic tipped to make two transfer deadline day moves

As the Celtic fans wait for news on incoming transfers, with each passing minute, they grow more and more frustrated as no announcement is made.

TBR Celtic told earlier today that PSG defender, Layvin Kurawa, looks like a possible target however the 31-year-old’s salary could prove to be a huge stumbling block.

However, that hasn’t deterred journalist, Dean Jones, from making this deadline day prediction and it is one that is sure to interest the Celtic supporters.

Jones said [], “Celtic have a couple of interesting deals lined up as we head into the day, with the Turnbull deal from Cardiff feeling close.

“There is also the new talk about Kurzawa as they seek a new left-back option.

“It seems a bit risky because he has barely kicked a ball all season at PSG, but he’s being offered to a few clubs, and in terms of his experience, I can see why there is an element of temptation to bite on it.”

So it seems that Kurzawa could be a player that is of definite interest to Celtic. Whether or not the club can get past the salary demands is another question entirely.

Reportedly on £89k per week, the Frenchman’s pay is well beyond Celtic’s financial means and it could be that his may be a target that could fall by the wayside.

However, the news that Turnbull could now be off as well as the likes of Mikey Johnston and James Forrest is proof that Rodgers is keeping good on his word at trimming the squad.

But it’s incomings that the fans really want to see and the clock is ticking fast.
