Inter Milan think they can sign Aston Villa player for £30m and then sell him for £60m

Aston Villa spent over £150m on new signings during the summer transfer window.

The Villans did not – however – throw money around carelessly, receiving over £144m in transfer fees from sales to ensure there was a net spend of just £5.9m at Villa Park.

However, an influx of eight new players will obviously shove some existing options down Unai Emery‘s pecking order – and Inter Milan believe they now have a chance of signing a player yet to start for Aston Villa in the Premier League this season…

Inter Milan feel they can sign Jacob Ramsey

A story from now states that Inter Milan want to sign Jacob Ramsey in 2025 – and think they can pull it off.

As aforesaid, the Aston Villa No.41 is yet to start in the Premier League this season following the summer arrival of Amadou Onana from Everton and the blossoming talent of Morgan Rogers.

As you may have seen, Tottenham tried to sign Ramsey during the summer transfer window, but after a deal failed to materialise, Inter Milan look set to be the next club to try.

Inter Live believe Aston Villa could sell the 23-year-old for a sum of €35m (£30m) at the end of the season, with those at the San Siro planning to sign the England U21 international as a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Interestingly, the Italian news outlet add that Inter Milan feel Ramsey’s value would rise enormously with regular game time, and believe they could even sell the attacking midfielder for €70m (£60m) in future.

Villans must not sell the 23-year-old

To put it simply, Aston Villa must not sell Ramsey.

Despite a tough period under Emery lately – which saw the man from Great Barr miss 22 Premier League games through injury last season – the Aston Villa academy graduate remains one of the most exciting talents in England, and has already shown what he can do when fit.

Ramsey – who Bayern Munich also wanted over the summer – impressively scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 appearances during the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, a stunning season which earned him the 2022/23 Premier League Academy Graduate award.

Of course, the Englishman currently finds himself fighting to win his place in the starting XI back, but it is surely only a matter of time until that happens given his immense talent.

Hopefully, a sale is not entertained, as Inter Milan are probably spot on – with regular game time, Ramsey can easily become a £60m footballer, if not more valuable.
