Insiders at Premier League club think a deal could be struck to sell £60m forward to Arsenal within weeks
Insiders at a Premier League club now think a deal could be struck to sell one of their best players to Arsenal within a matter of weeks.
Transfers directly between Premier League sides are becoming a rare occurrence nowadays as a result of significant broadcasting payments, which means the so-called smaller clubs have less of a need to sell players.
However, as the Premier League clamp down on Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), some clubs are in need of a major sale this summer, with one side’s predicament possibly benefitting Arsenal…
Wolves could sell Pedro Neto to Arsenal
A story from now claims that Wolves could sell Pedro Neto to Arsenal this summer.
Gary O’Neil’s side must raise funds this summer, and those at Molineux are said to have reluctantly identified the Portugal international as this summer’s headline sale.
Give Me Sport add that Neto has long been on Arsenal’s radar, and insiders at Wolves believe a deal could be struck “in the coming weeks” – a £60m price tag has been put on the forward.
Arsenal are seemingly searching for a winger like Bukayo Saka this summer – someone who tends to cut inside from the right flank onto their stronger left foot – as Mikel Arteta and Edu are also looking at Crystal Palace No.7 Michael Olise.
However, the south Londoners have less of a need to sell players compared to Wolves this summer, and there is widespread confusion over what it would take to sign the France U21 international amid rumours of a potential release clause, while Chelsea, Newcastle and Bayern Munich are already in talks with his representatives.

Therefore, the deal to sign Neto seems a lot easier for Arsenal.
The 24-year-old scored three goals and impressively provided 11 assists in just 24 appearances last season.
Long time coming
If Arsenal do manage to sign Neto this summer, Arsene Wenger will presumably be pleased.
The Gunners are believed to have been monitoring the man from Viana do Castelo ever since he was playing for Braga back in 2017.

A story from the claimed that Wenger wanted to bring Neto to north London back then, although he eventually moved to Wolves along with many other Portuguese players, as super agent Jorge Mendes became heavily involved at Molineux.
