Insider suggests Arsenal would’ve signed £40m West Ham player last year if it wasn’t for FFP
Arsenal spent an absolute fortune last summer.
The Gunners broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice last summer, while Kai Havertz also arrived for an astronomical fee, as did Jurrien Timber.
However, towards the end of the transfer window, Arsenal’s spending slowed down.
Indeed, Arsenal had to sign David Raya on loan with an option to buy rather than ﷽outright purchasing him, and the Raya deal isn’t the only deal that was affected by FFP rules.
Speaking on , Team News and Ticks has been discussing another deal that was affected by FFP at Arsenal last year, claiming that the Gunners were in talks about signing Mohammed Kudus, but financial restrictions scuppered that deal.

Arsenal were talking about signing Mohammed Kudus
The insider sꩵhared what he kno🦂ws about Arsenal and Kudus.
“Even last summer we were talking to them about Kಌudus and we just didn’t have the wriggle room with PSR and FFP,” He said.
“The reason it took so long for him to gꦚo anywhere was partly because he wa𒈔s waiting for a better move and they were also waiting to see if we could make it happen because of the relationship we have with them. A relationship goes a long way in football.”
Kudus would’ve been incredible for Arsenal
This is a painful one.
Mohammed Kudus would’ve been absolutely brilliant for Arsenal, and he could well have been a differenceᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ-maker in the title race.
Kudus is capable of playing in so many positions at such a high level, and after a r🐻emarkable 🦋debut season at West Ham, you can’t help but wonder what he could’ve done for Arsenal.
Kudus is certainly go🥂od enough to play for a top club, and perhaps Arsenal will look at the Ghan𒆙aian again at some point in the future.
