‘Insanely dangerous’: Some Liverpool fans raging about what happened in the Everton game last night

Even Liverpool fans have leapt to the defence of Everton after last night’s game.
Dangerous approach?
Everton won 3-1 against Burnley yesterday, but Sean Dyche’s side’s approach to the contest once again fell under sharp focus at full-time.
When Burnley had taken on Liverpool earlier on in the campaign, Jurgen Klopp had been critical of the physical approach by the Clarets.
Burnley’s robust style was on full display last night, as James Tarkowski lunged into a tackle with Richarlison.
The Everton player was clearly hurt by the incident, but Tarkowski didn’t even receive a booking.
And Liverpool fans felt that the refereeing decision proved Klopp was right when he suggested that players were not being allowed enough protection, by the new lenient officiating rules.
Injury avoided
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher both suggested in the studio that Tarkowski should have been booked for the fierce tackle.
Richarlison, thankfully, wasn’t injured – and was able to carry on.
Everton ultimately stood up to the physical challenge well, and claimed another victory to continue their impressive start.
Both Everton and Liverpool have now picked up 10 points from their first four Premier League games this season.
