‘Does incredibly well’: BBC pundit wowed by what Leeds ace has done for his country
Leeds United captain Liam Cooper played a big part in helping Scotland claim a vital World Cup qualifying win on Monday night.
The Elland Road defender provided an assist for international teammate John Souttar to score the opening goal against Denmark.
Cooper was on hand to head John McGinn’s corner across goal for Souttar to nod home from six yards out in the 35th minute.

BBC Sport pundit Leanne Crichton praised the 30-year-old Leeds ace for his part in the crucial opener.
“There is no coincidence, the delivery to the back post has been the aim from John McGinn every single time,” she said on .
“Liam Cooper does incredibly well to put it back across goal and John Souttar is alive to nod it home.”
Aside from his assist, the Leeds centre-back also defended well, putting in a number of key blocks and interceptions.

Scotland’s win over Denmark ensured they would get a home playoff next March as they bid to reach their first World Cup finals since 1998.
With the international break now over, Cooper is set to return to Leeds and prepare for their next fixture this Sunday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s charges take on Spurs in a 4:30pm kickoff in north London.
Leeds are currently 15th in the Premier League table, three points above the drop zone.
