‘Unbelievable’ Tottenham player is back training with the first-team after his move away collapses

Tottenham Hotspur have already managed to offload a number of their unwanted players in this summer’s window.

Daniel Levy did now hand about when it came to saying goodbye to some of the Tottenham players at the start of the summer.

A lot of the work done in north London has seen players leave for free with Spurs taking significant losses on players like Tanguy Ndombele.

There has been one sale with Joe Rodon making the move back to Leeds United as Spurs snapped up young Archie Gray from the Whites.

However, a move away for one of the remaining players seems to have hit the rocks as he has now been forced to return to training at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham player sees summer transfer collapse

Spurs may have made a bright start to the window when it comes to offloading some of their unwanted players, but there is still work to be done.

The Lilywhites are going into pre-season with several players still in the squad who are unlikely to be in the plans of Ange Postecoglou for the new campaign.

With players like Bryan Gil, Alejo Veliz and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the club, Spurs still have a number of possible exits they could be working on over the coming weeks.

But a possible move for one of the club’s outcasts has now seemingly hit some issues.

According to Nizaar Kinsella, Djed Spence‘s potential return back to Genoa has now all-but collapsed.

The right-back spent last season out on loan with the Serie A outfit where a potential return has been in the works.

However, the £8.5m option has been viewed as too much for Genoa to part with for the defender and the possible deal has now been described as ‘very unlikely’ .

Djed Spence returns to Tottenham training

Spurs have now made their return to north London ahead of the new campaign with pre-season training getting up and running over the weekend.

This will provide Postecoglou with some potentially awkward interactions as a number of his loan players return to the club.

Alongside Spence, the likes of Sergio Reguilon has also made his return to training with the Spaniard also looking for a new club this summer.

Although the former Middlesbrough defender has been described as ‘unbelievable‘ in the past, his chances under Postecoglou may be up with Spurs looking to add to their options at right-back.
