‘Incredible’: Tim Sherwood says Tottenham have a midfielder who’s better than Moises Caicedo
Tottenham have been absolutely brilliant this season, and not only are they the top team in London this season, they’re the top team in the country at the moment.
Indeed, the north London club are flying high at the top of the Premier League, and their brilliant start to the season has to be at least slightly attributed to their midfield.
Spurs’ midfield has been utterly brilliant so far this term, and one player who has been shining is Yves Bissouma.
The Malian midfielder has arguably been the best centre-mid in the league so far this season, and speaking on the , Tim Sherwood has claimed that the Spurs star is actually a better player than Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo ahead of the meeting between the two London clubs on Monday.

Bissouma better than Caicedo
Sherwood was full of praise for Bissouma.
“Now Ange Postecoglou has gone in there and some of those players are unrecognisable. You can only say what you see. The recruitment looked bad because the previous manager wasn’t getting the best out of them. This manager is. Bissouma has been unbelievable. Incredible, Bissouma has more than Caicedo I believe, he has that little drive through midfield, he’s cuter with his passing,” Sherwood said.
Such a bargain
It’s hard to say that Sherwood is wrong about Bissouma being better than Caicedo, and that unerlines just how much of a bargain the midfielder was.
Bissouma cost Spurs just , and he’s arguably a better player than Caicedo who cost this summer.
Both players are easily comparable as they came from Brighton and while Caicedo may have looked like the better player for the Seagulls, this season, Bissouma has been the better performer this term.
The battle between these two on Monday will certainly be intriguing to watch.
