‘Incredible’ player has once again told West Ham that he doesn’t want to sign for them

A West Ham transfer target has reportedly told the Hammers a second time he has no interest in joining them this summer.

The Irons are hard at work under new manager Julen Lopetegui in the transfer market to bring in the players needed to push for Europe next season, with West Ham already spending big to bring Max Kilman to east London from Wolves.

With the Hammers also linked with the likes of Alexis Saelemaekers and Jake O’Brien, more signings should be expected soon from the London Stadium side, with West Ham keen to make a statement in the transfer window.

Yet one ambitious signing is seemingly falling away from West Ham this summer.

Jean-Clair Todibo to reject West Ham for Juventus move

According to , OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo has told West Ham he has no interest in moving to east London, with the centre-back having his heart set on a move to Italian giants Juventus.

Hailed as an player by former manager Francesco Farioli, this is not the first time Todibo has rejected a move to West Ham this summer, with the Hammers persistent in their attempt to sign the French defender.

After another incredible year at the back for Nice, it’s no real wonder why West Ham are interested in signing Todibo this summer, with central defence clearly and area Lopetegui is eager to improve on in the window.

However, after this latest update, it seems all-but-certain that Todibo will be heading to Juventus, with West Ham now having to return to the drawing board for another defender to add to their ranks.

Todibo was always going to be an ambitious signing for the Hammers

Todibo entered the summer transfer window as one of the most in-demand defenders in Europe, with West Ham setting their stall out early to land the former FC Barcelona talent.

Yet as much as they tried, it appears that Todibo is not interested at all in a move to West Ham, with Juventus now set to win the race for the French international in the coming weeks.

Indeed, Todibo would have been an incredible signing for West Ham in this new era of the club, and had the Irons secured the defender’s signature, there’s a real chance that the Hammers could have secured a European finish come the end of next season.
