Well, Everton beat Newcastle United 3-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
It came as a surprise. After all, the Toffees are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the last season, while the Magpies are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table for the second successive campaign.
Everton, though, had the home advantage, and they made it count. Sean Dyche’s side scored all three goals late in the second half.
West Ham United manager David Moyes is pleased to see his former club Everton beat Newcastle.
The Hammers themselves won in the Premier League on Thursday evening. They beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the London derby.
Moyes said on : “Incredible result. Dyche is doing a brilliant job and I think they underestimated how good Everton are and I think they have a really good, steady team.”
Everton could survive the drop
In my view, Everton have what it takes to survive the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Toffees are now above the bottom three. Let us not forget that they were given a 10-point reduction recently. If that had not happened, then Everton would be above Chelsea in the Premier League table.
Sean Dyche has done a really remarkable job at Everton. I believe that the Merseyside club will not get relegated from the Premier League.
