The second came late on and killed off Forest’s hopes of finding an equaliser. But that only came after the visitors squandered a golden opportunity earlier in the half.

Forest gave away a penalty after Steve Cook handled the ball under the bar just as Kane was seemingly poised to head home. And the majority of those inside the City Ground may have feared the worst.

Kane has been unbelievable from 12 yards for some time now. However, on this occasion, the striker was denied.

Henderson dived to his right and managed to take advantage of Kane not quite striking the ball as cleanly as he would have liked. The Manchester United loanee made a fantastic save to give Forest some real belief.

Certainly, Conte felt that Henderson deserved all of the focus when asked about Kane’s effort being saved.

“I think he didn’t miss penalty, it was a big, big save from the goalkeeper. It was an incredible save,” he said, as reported by .

Conte lauded Dean Henderson

Henderson has made an amazing start to the season with Forest. Certainly, it feels as though it was a masterstroke from Steve Cooper’s men to bring him to the side.

He is definitely proving a point to Manchester United. That was not his first penalty save of the season. And on another day, that save could have easily paved the way for Forest to go on and get something from the game.

Henderson is definitely going to earn Forest a number of points over the course of the season if that is a sign of what is to come.
