‘In the next days’: Fabrizio Romano claims Nottingham Forest will soon welcome ‘huge’ new arrival

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on Dean Henderson’s imminent loan switch to Nottingham Forest.

The Reds have already got one big deal over the line this summer, breaking their transfer record to sign Taiwo Awoniyi.

Last week, Romano that Henderson to Forest was a “done deal, confirmed”.

However, the formalities of that still need to be completed as the Manchester United goalkeeper has been away.

According to the , Henderson will have his medical at Forest later this week, once he has returned from honeymoon.

Now, Romano has taken to Twitter to claim the Red Devils will sign and announce the deal in the coming days.

There is “no issue” with Henderson’s switch to Forest, with new United boss Erik ten Hag approving it.

Romano then reiterated that it’s a loan deal until June 2023 with no buy option clause.

He finished by describing it as a “huge move” for Forest.

Forest are looking for a new No. 1 amid Brice Samba’s purported desire to leave the City Ground.

Meanwhile, Henderson is desperate for first-team football to force his way back into England contention.

He only made three appearances in 2021-22, which came in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup. 

However, the 25-year-old one-cap England international is proven at Premier League level.

He has made 49 top-flight appearances – 13 for Manchester United and 36 on loan at Sheffield United.

While at Bramall Lane, Henderson kept 13 sheets as the Blades finished ninth in 2019-20.
