Journalist shares update on Liverpool’s pursuit of ‘amazing’ £40m Chelsea player

Liverpool are looking for new signings this summer but they could end up waiting until 2025 to sign one long-term target.

The Reds are all set for the new era under Arne Slot and will be looking 🔜forward to seeing what sort of business they can get doneဣ in the transfer window.

A number of positions are thought to be on the Reds’ radar this summer and a new defender, striker, and defensive mid🙈fielder have all been mentioned.

Of course, given it’s transfer season♐, a number of names are being mentioned for Liverp🎃ool.

But when it comes to🥃 one Chelsea ဣplayer they’ve tracked for some time now, it looks like the Reds will need to wait until 2025.

Liverpool prepared to wait to sign Levi Colwill from Chelsea

Speaking to , Jacobs confirmed that Colwill ♕is looking for assurances from the Chelsea board and management about his role next seas♒on.

“From Colwill’s perspective, he wants those guarantees now, and if he doesn’t get them or for whatever reason, on merit, isn’t picked throughout the season, or doesn’t have a productive season, then suitors like Liverp𓆉ool and PSG might see a window of opportunity in 2025,” Jacobs said.

“But Liverpool are nꦏot moving now, and the only club that’s made a mo👍re recent enquiry is Bayern Munich, and they’ll be told, the same as PSG and Liverpool, the player this summer is not for sale.”

Colwill worth the wait for Liverpool

At the end of the day, Levi Colwill is a yo♛ung English defender wit𓃲h a very high ceiling so it’s easy to see why someone like Liverpool want him.

The Reds m🐟ight even feel the wait until 2025 ♍is worth it as well, given the talent he has.

Lauded as being an ‘amazing‘ young talent, Chelsea va♍lue Colwill at at least the £40m mark and could well end up wanting even more if he has a good season.

Of course, if he does do well under Enzo Maresca then Liverꦇpool’s interest might have to end altogether.

But for now, Colwill is very much a player Reds fans have an eye on and it will be interesting to see just how his season goe🀅s in 24/25.
