Improved Xherdan Shaqiri form could save Liverpool millions – TBR View
Liverpool will aim to defend their Premier League crown next season and it’ll be interesting to see if they have any more new signings to help them along.
Kostas Tsimikas has arrived to put some pressure on Andy Robertson’s place but other new additions could be made before a ball is kicked.
Liverpool added the elusive trophy to their collection last season, winning the title at a canter for the first time since the Premier League was formed in 1992.

Defending it won’t be easy but boss Jurgen Klopp is loyal to his players and one current member of his squad might turn out to be like a new signing.
The 2019/20 campaign proved a frustrating one for Xherdan Shaqiri and he recently admitted as much.
“Always if you are injured or if you are not playing, you’re frustrated. But I’m looking forward to this signing and trying to help the team, so I have the chance to play like the first season.”
Shaqiri’s participation last season was largely restricted to cup competitions and appearances from the bench. Although the campaign previously saw him earn some rave reviews for some eye-catching performances.
The 28-year-old arrived from Stoke for £13 million in 2018 and when he first checked in he looked as though he could be a shrewd addition.
Confidence
During 2018/19 he scored six goals and registered five assists from his 30 outings; including a memorable brace against Manchester United.
The thought of Shaqiri still making squads next season might not be overly exciting but if he regains his confidence he could prove a decent addition.

He is skilful, scores goals and loves to take players on. In full flight, he’s actually a very useful player for Klopp’s system.
Klopp should perhaps place some confidence in him and see what he can do during pre-season and then who knows what could happen.
Shaqiri is unlikely to be the first choice be he could become something of an unsung hero if the player is handed an opportunity next season.
