‘I’m told’: Romano claims £100,000-a-week player will definitely leave Tottenham tonight
Everton are reportedly closing in on the signing of Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.
The Spurs playmaker has been linked with a move away from N17 for a while now.
Meanwhile, the Toffees have needed to bolster their midfield ranks this month.

Everton have already got one midfield signing over the line today – Donny van den Beek on loan.
Likewise, Alli is seemingly closing in on a switch from Tottenham to Goodison.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spurs man began his Everton medical around 6pm.
But with the clock ticking, there were no further updates regarding the Alli to Everton switch.
However, Romano has sought to allay any fears from Toffees fans about the move.
He claims it’s just a “long” medical, part of a “normal process”, and the outcome will still be the same.
According to Sky Sports Kaveh Solhekol, Everton could pay Tottenham around £40million for Alli.
The England international is apparently penning a two-and-a-half year contract on Merseyside.

Alli used to be a regular for club and country.
However, he’s been a fringe player at Tottenham for a while, and is out of Three Lions contention.
Last season, the man struggled for game time under former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, Alli was reportedly close to leaving last January amid links with Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain.
Earlier this term, Nuno Espirito Santo reinstated Alli back to the starting XI, and he did well initially.
However, this didn’t last, and Alli soon found himself warming the bench once again, with the odd cameo.
Under Antonio Conte, the man has had a couple of starts, but is from being a regular in the XI.
Alli clearly needs a fresh start and now it looks as though he’ll finally be getting it.
