‘I’m in awe’: Jermaine Beckford blown away by ‘phenomenal’ Leeds United man
Leeds United cult hero Jermaine Beckford has described Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa as “phenomenal”.
The 37-year-old was speaking on the after the Whites’ Premier League opening-day loss.
Although Leeds fell to a 5-1 defeat at Manchester United, there’s still plenty to be optimistic about at Elland Road.

Arguably the biggest recent positive is that Bielsa penned a new one-year contract at Leeds United last week.
The Argentine has worked wonders at Elland Road since joining in 2018.
And Beckford is baffled at the prospect of doubting him after one game.
When asked whether he was happy about Bielsa’s new deal, Beckford : “Yeah, absolutely – the guy is a genius.
“I’m in awe of him, I love him and I think he’s phenomenal.

“He’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic manager.
“He doesn’t try to be something he’s not, he’s just himself.
“He knows what he has to do, he knows what he wants to do and he knows how to do it.
“It’s just about stringing all of those pieces together, and he seems to know what he was doing.
“The last game’s result aside, all in all, come on – we can’t doubt the guy after one game.”
