If reports are true, Liverpool could be swooping for ideal Salah replacement for less than £25m – TBR View

Liverpool currently have one of the strongest front lines in world football.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp can call on Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

And there has been no progress regarding Salah’s contract talks with the Anfield club despite talks for months.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear of Liverpool looking at potential alternatives for the 29-year-old.

According to – via – the Reds are eyeing Watford and Senegal ace Ismaila Sarr.

As well as Liverpool, Serie A leaders AC Milan are apparently also hoping to sign the 24-year-old.

As per the report, the player would cost at least €30-40m (£25m-£34m).

However, this figure would reportedly drop if the Hornets suffered relegation to the Championship.

They are currently 19th in the table and are three points behind Everton, who have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, claims Liverpool ‘seem to have plans to get serious’ for the Africa Cup of Nations winner.

“We have a good exit plan”

Sarr’s agent Thierno Seydi recently admitted Watford are ready to let his client leave in the summer, if their conditions are satisfied.

“We have a good exit plan,” he told , via Sport Witness.

“In Watford’s strategy, if the offer is attractive, nothing will prevent him from leaving.

“But where he will go, only the future will tell us.

“At this precise moment, there are rumours, interest, but really nothing concrete.”

Sarr would be an ideal replacement if Salah were to leave Liverpool, or to push him for a starting spot if he stays.

He primarily plays on the right wing but can also cover on the left and at centre-forward.

In addition, Sarr has Premier League experience and knows Mane well, which will help him off and off the pitch.
