If RB Leipzig star really is available for just £13m, then Liverpool have got to elbow Tottenham aside – TBR View
Marcel Sabitzer is a name that Tottenham Hotspur fans are well acquainted with. Not only did he play against them in the Champions League during 2019-20, but Sabitzer has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs for some time. However, a new report has got to put Liverpool on red alert.
Sabitzer, 27, is quickly emerging as one of the best midfield talents in the Bundesliga. Now, with 227 appearances for Leipzig under his belt, the attacking midfielder boasts stats of 52 goals and 42 assists. But the Austrian ace is about to enter the last 12 months of his contract at Leipzig.
that Tottenham are interested, but in a long-winded report, they claim that Leipzig are ready to consider offers of £13million. That is, largely due to his contract situation. Daniel Levy will be delighted to hear the news, but then, it might encourage other clubs to take a look.

Why Liverpool need to beat Tottenham and sign Sabitzer…
Liverpool will already have solid connections with Leipzig. They have made one signing this summer, luring Ibrahima Konate in from the German outfit. It is believed the Reds paid a fee of £36million for the French ace. That connection should convince Michael Edwards to go back in.
The Reds need additions elsewhere, though. Gini Wijnaldum is about to join PSG on a free and he seriously needs replacing. A midfielder that can score crucial goals but also put the work rate in, which is required in the engine room. Sabitzer fills the role to a tee, and at £13million, he is a bargain.
Liverpool, then, need to be on red alert and push Spurs aside in the pursuit of Sabitzer. While there are likely to be many suitors for the midfielder, there are not many midfielders that suit Liverpool as well as Sabitzer does. Jose Mourinho’s Roma might also prove to be an option for Sabitzer.
