Ian Wright simply ‘can’t understand’ one thing at Tottenham right now

Tottenham Hotspur are a real mess at the moment.

Spurs sit 15th in the Premier League, and Ange Postecoglou is under pressure to imp𓆏rove🌸 things, otherwise, his job will be on the line.

Unfortunately, the tide simply doesn’t seem to be turning for Tottenham as they lost 2-0 to Fulham at the weekend.

Spurs are in dire straights at the moment, and ꧙it’s not ꦓhard to pinpoint what their main problems are.

Speaking on the , Ian Wright has been discussing Tottenham’s recentജ stru🔯ggles, and he says that he can’t get his head around why Spurs are so sloppy and slack in the defensive third.

Ian Wright can’t understand Tottenham’s defensive problems

Wright spoke about Tottenham’s defensive issues.

The 𝄹pundit says that the mistakes Spurs are making are very basicꦦ, and that he can’t get his head around why they are happening.

“These are basic mistakes, basic mistakes that Tottenham are doing. I believe when you look at the number of games they’ve lost, it’s their defence. They should be working on retaining the ball, keeping the ball and th🌼en trying to get it up to Maddison or Solanke,” Wright said.

“They have so much going fꩲor them, but I can’t understand why they are so slack and so sloppy in defence❀.”

Tottenham’s defensive options analysed

Wright says ✃he can’t ge💙t his head around Tottenham’s defensive errors, and, to be honest, neither can we.

Spurs’ defence is poor, everyone can see that, but, individually📖, these are good💎 players.

Micky van de Ven has earned huge praise since joining T♍ottenham, while Cristian Rom🍸ero is a World Cup winner.

Archie Gray has been hailed for his performances at centre-back in recent times, while Djed Spence has turned his career around lately too.

Destiny Udogie is also a highly-rated player, while Pedro Porro has been targeted by Real Madrid in the past.

Player by player, Tottenꦇham’s defence is ൩perhaps one of the strongest backlines in the Premier League, but, as a unit, they are a mess.

Uꦏnfortunately,📖 at that point, you can only blame one man, the manager.

Ange Postecoglou simply isn’t organising this defence in theꦜ right way, and when your team is leaking goals in this way, results aren’t going to pick u💟p.
