Ian Wright hopes to see Arsenal spend big this summer

Wright, spe🎃aking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, has made it clear he’s not blam🍬ing Mikel Arteta or the players for Arsenal’s trophy-less season.

He sought to point🔥 the finger aꦯt the Gunners’ recruitment over the past 12 months, suggesting it led to a lack of strength in depth for the crucial trip to PSG.

Wright said he hoped new sporting director Andrea Berta would loosen the purse strings when it comes to the upcoming transf🐼er window.

“We literally c💯oꦡuldn’t bring anyone off the bench to help that game in the semi-final of a Champions League,” Wright said on his podcast.

“That is the only thing that I will point a finger at👍 in respects of the recruitඣment.

“And this is why I’m hoping🔜 that Andrea Berta has got his book out and he’s reဣady to go.

“Becaus🌺e we are three or four players away from winning the league and winning the Champions League.”

Why Andrea Berta could be a good fit for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal

David Ornstein recentlඣy lifted the lid on Arsenal’s decision to appoint Berta.

He also shared what pe♒ople in football have been saying about Berta’s personality which could make him a good fit working alongside Arteta.

In addition, Ornstein confidently shared what he’s⛦ sure Berta will do when it comes to the summer🧜.

“Most people that you speak to who are involved in deal making in European football, they’ve dealt with Andrea Berta,” said Or﷽nstein.

“He’s said to be a very subtle, understated, discreet guy who do﷽esn’t make many public pronouncements.

“Which is quite interesting because Edu, at the Brazilian FA before he came to Arsenal, he would pick the squad, he would announce it, he would hold press conferences, he would do interviews, he wou💮ld interact with the media.

“It w𝓡orked differently when you come to the Premier League where everything is a little bit more under the radar. That is more 🍸Andrea Berta’s way.

“I𓂃’m sure he’ll work fastidiously, extremely hard to try and deliver what Arsenal want this summer, which is an immediate and crucial priority in the transfer market.”
