Ian Wright says what he ‘can’t wait’ to see happen with Myles Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal soon

Myles Lewis-Skelly has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League this season.

Indeed, Myles Lewis-Skelly looks like a superstar in the making.

Paul Merson really rates Lewis-Skelly as a player, while Antonee Robinson has hailed Lewis-Skelly too.

The scary thing about this yoꦐung man’s pot🍨ential is that he’s not even playing in his natural position right now.

Indeed, Lewis-Skelly only trained as a left-back 🐭last summer😼, and he’s taken to that role like a duck to water.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright👍 has been discussing Lewis-Skelly’s position, and he reckons that the youngster is still a number eight at heart and he can’t wait to see him move back into midfield.

Ian Wright excited about Myles Lewis-Skelly’s midfield future

Wright spoke about L෴ewis-Skelly’s future as ꦍa midfield player.

The pundit reckons the teenager will ultimately end up playing in midfiel📖d, claiming that he can’t wait to see him in that role on a more regular basis.

“You know something? He’s a number eight man. You could see that eight a♈ll day long💫,” Wright said.

“I can’t wait for🌜 that to happen, 🦄He’s amazing. Like, he’s amazing.”

What Myles Lewis-Skelly said about his position

Wright says Lewis👍-Skelly is set to be a midfield player, and the youngster himself has discussed his r🏅ole in the past.

Speaking to , Lewis-Skelly says that he knows where he wants to end up playing l﷽ong-term, alluding to a midfield role, but, for now, he’s happy to just play wherever he’s needed.

“Long term, in my head, I know where I want to go, but right now I’m looking at what I can do to help the team, and wherever I’m effective in a team role, 🌌I’ll take it,” Lewis-Skelly said.

“I still need to establish myself, of course, but I’m really enjoying playing at left-back: the challenge of coming up against different wingers, their different qualities and what I need to do against thℱem. I enjoy the analysis side of it and the different approaches. Also, the way we plꦿay, and in football now generally, a left-back and midfielder can be quite similar. The education I’ve had as a midfielder is definitely helping me now.”

Lewis-Skelly has, of course, been seen at left-back more🌼 often than not this season, but throughout his career, including youth level, he’s played much more football in midfield.
