The Arne Slot era has gotten off to a great start at Liverpool.
The Reds sit second in the Premier League table af🦩ter five games, losing just onဣe of their opening matches.
The Merseyside club look just as strong as they did under Jurgen Klopp, and it’s been a case of evolution rather then revolution under Slot so far this season.
Liverpool have changed things up a little♔ bit this season, but it’s largely been more of the same since th𒁏e Dutchman took charge.
One of Slot’s main changes has been to use Ryan Gravenberch in that deeper midfield role, and it’s fair to say that the Dutchman is flouri🐲shin🍌g in that position.
Speaking on the , Ian Wright has been discussing Ryan Gravenberch’sꦐ rise to prominence this season, and he says that the Reds have struck gold here.

Liverpool have struck gold with Ryan Gravenberch
Wright spoke about the midfielder and his ꦛper💫formances this term.
“When you read some of the Bay🃏ern Munich fans’ chats, they were disappointed he left. He can progress, he can play in the 10 and have a shot. Liverpool now play in that area a bit more,” Wright said.
“With Zubimendi not going through, they might’ve🌠 unearthed the one for themselves now. You need to see him against the top three or four, and if he puts in those performances, Liverpool have struck gold.”
Martin Zubimendi move a blessing in disguise
Liverpool weren’t happy when they missed out on Martin Zubimendi♔ this summer, but that may have been a blessing in dis🍸guise.
Indeed, Gravenberch’s path would’ve been bloc🤪ked had Zubimendi signed, and after an incredible start to the season, there’s an argument to make that Gravenbe🐻rch is the better player.
Of course, as Wright says, we need to see these types of performances against the top teams, but the fact that Graven🦹berch has performed so well against the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan already certainly bodes well.
Gravenberch could well end up being Liverp🌺ool’s Player of the Season thi🐈s year.
