Ian Wright says he’s actually happy that £50m Arsenal player isn’t in the team right now
Arsenal have been brilliant so far this season, the Gunners are yet to lose a game in all competitions.
The north London club are very much in the title race, while they’ll also have eyes on the prize in the Champions League too.
Interestingly, Arsenal have won their last two games without one of their most important players, Ben White, who has been absent through injury.
Arsenal have played well without White, and, interestingly, Ian Wright has claimed that he’s been glad to see White out of the team for a small period.
Indeed, speaking on the , the pundit claimed that he’s quite pleased that White is out of the team at the moment as he does need a bit of a rest.

Ben White needs a rest
Wright shared his thoughts on the man not being available for Arsenal right now.
“Riccardo Calafiori is very good, but can I say with those two full-backs and Ben White potentially coming back I’m quite pleased that Ben White is getting the rest that he probably needs, and to have someone like Timber to come in to cover is brilliant,” Wright said.
Ben White could come back stronger
As Wright says, White could have done with a rest, and after this spell on the sidelines, he could come back even stronger.
White has played a lot of football over the past 12 months, he started no fewer than 45 matches for Arsenal last season, and that sort of workload will affect you.
A couple of weeks on the sidelines nursing a minor injury could give White the perfect chance to recharge his batteries and come back even stronger.
That said, with Jurrien Timber shining at right-back, White may actually have an uphill battle if he wants to get back into the Arsenal XI.
Regardless, as always, Arsenal have some incredibly strong defensive options to call upon in their upcoming matches.
