Ian Wright praises Dominik Szoboszlai

Wright praised Szoboszlai for the part he played in Liver🍷pool’s first goal.

“People don’t understand how well he has done to duck out of t🎀hat. The way he has🀅 ducked out of it, you could see how close he was. When you’re moving at that pace, it was really good,” Wright said.

“People will not appreciate that someone wh♏o could’ve headed it where he was just left it. In the moment he recognised that he has a better chance of putting this in than me. Szoboszlai would’ve had to do something special to get it on target.”

Dominik Szoboszlai was so clever

As Wrigh൲t says, this was a seriously underrated bit of play from Szoboszl🍷ai.

It would’ve been so easy for the Hungarian to try tꦯo get the glory himself in a big game, but he had the awareness and the selflessness to leave this for Diaz.

Given the trajectory of the ball, it would’ve been easy for Szoboszlai to head thꦡis chance over the bar, but he made the right decision, and Liverpool went 1-0 up.

Ultimately, that was the platform for Liverpool to kick on and thras🔴h their rivals in what will go down as another famous and mem♍orable win at Old Trafford.

Szob♑oszlai deserves a lot of credit for his part in Luis Diaz’s opener.
