Ian Wright says Arsenal have to sign someone like £34m star who once played for Wolves
Arsenal were eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday evening, and, as you can probably imagine, the inquest has already begun.
Indeed, there have been plenty of reactionary takes after this game as many fans and pundits pick holes in this Arsenal team and try to figure out where it all went wrong.
Speaking on the , Ian Wright has been discussing what Arsenal need to do from here, and he’s claimed that the Gunners need to bolster their midfield this summer, claiming that they need to sign a player like PSG’s Vitinha to bring an X factor to the side.

Arsenal need someone like Vitinha
Wright spoke about what Arsenal need to do.
“Do you know what I was saying, what I was alluding to a little bit. A player like Vitinha from PSG. I know what you’re saying about Odegaard and Rice, but you’re talking about someone with the X factor that we need. We have a load of good players, but that X factor, out of the blue, bang, we need to find that man,” Wright said.
Easier said than done
Wright is spot on, Arsenal could do with a midfielder like Vitinha who feels like a proper live wire who can create something out of nothing.
However, finding that sort of player isn’t an easy task.
Indeed, these players aren’t ten a penny, they’re rare diamonds who usually head to the top clubs early in their careers.
Vitinha is at PSG for a reason – he’s a top player who cost , and you won’t be able to just go out and find another player like him easily.
Arsenal could do with an extra element of dynamism in their midfield, but finding the right player to add into this team won’t be a simple task, that’s for sure.
