Ian Wright reacts to Tanganga and Dele Alli’s displays in Tottenham loss
Ian Wright that neither Japhet Tanganga or Dele Alli were very good as the Tottenham Hotspur pair were taken off at half-time against Arsenal on Sunday.
What’s the story?
Spurs fans are coming to terms with the team’s abject showing in the North London Derby at the weekend.

They were beaten 3-1 by their bitter rivals. But the scoreline potentially flattered the visitors at the Emirates. And Nuno Espirito Santo now has plenty of work to do to silence his doubters.
He did attempt to turn the tide of the game at half-time with Tottenham 3-0 down. Both Dele and Tanganga came off for Spurs after struggling in the first 45 minutes.

And Wright has suggested that he can see both men falling out of favour over the coming weeks with Nuno needing to get his ideas across to his teams.
“You only have to look at, Dele and Tanganga got taken off at half-time, I instantly look at those two and feel that he wasn’t happy with what they were doing. They got dragged instantly,” .
“When you look at the way they both played, it wasn’t very good. Reading into what he’s saying, he looked to me like ‘right, that’s it, I’m finished with them for the minute’, he needs to start doing something where people can implement what he wants to do.”
Dele should get another chance soon, but Tanganga faces battle to get back into Tottenham side
It will be interesting to see how Nuno handles both Dele and Tanganga in the coming games.
Dele arguably has a better chance of making a quicker return. Spurs do not have the depth in midfield right now to write off the England international.
Tanganga could potentially face a trickier spell. Emerson Royal should now get another chance to show what he can do.
Meanwhile, at the heart of the defence, Nuno has Cristian Romero and Joe Rodon also vying for a spot. So Tanganga may have to be prepared to bide his time after struggling against the Gunners.
