Ian Wright reacts after hearing Chelsea want to sign Kobbie Mainoo from Man United

The January transfer window is open, and, once again, Chelsea are one of the key teams to keep an eye on this month.

Indeed, the Blues could be busy in the January wꦰindow.

Mathys Tel has been linked to Chelsea recently, wh♈ile there could be some outgoings at Stamford Bridge too.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could leave, while Carney Chukwuemeka could also go.

That would leave Chelsea rather short in the midfield, but a new signings could help t🦹o alleviate those concerns.

Ian Wright reacts after hearing Kobbie Mainoo to Chelsea rumours

Wright spoke about Manc♏hester United’s midfield and the idea of Mainoo heading to Chelsea.

The pundit says that he’s very interested by these rumours, and he’s i💎ntrigued to see how this one 𒈔will pan out.

“Ugarte, it looks like there’s energy in there. And even, even Kobbie, I know that there’s talk about Kobbie and Chelsea and that, and that is something I’m✤ really interested to see how that one pans out,” Wright said.

Chelsea midfield options analysed

Mainoo to Chelsea is an intriguing r𒅌umour to say t♌he least.

Maജinoo is a top player, but ther✃e’s an argument to be made that he wouldn’t even start for Chelsea at the moment.

Indeed, the 🎶Blues’ current midfield is stacked with talent, and it’s hard to see where Mainoo fits in.

Chelsea midfield options
Moises Caicedo
Enzo Fernandez
Romeo Lavia
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Carney Chukwuemeka

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are the two most expensive players in English football history, while Enzo Maresca is a huge Romeo Lavia fan.

Mainoo to Chelsea would be an interesting deal, but i🌠t perhaps wouldn’t be in the player’s best interests to move to Stamford Bridge to join a squad that is already jam-packed with talented midfielders.

Mainoo may be better off staying at his boyhood club and growing as a key player at Old Trafford r🦂♌ather than heading to Chelsea where he wouldn’t necessarily be guaranteed first-team minutes.
