Ian Wright predicts the score when Tottenham face Crystal Palace this weekend

Pundit Ian Wright has now shared his thoughts on what the score will be when Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side haven’t had a game for a two week period now, and should be well rested for this tie.

And on the other hand, Crystal Palace look newly energised by their new manager Oliver Glasner, who has already earned his first three points in the Premier League.

Glasner will know that the trip to North London will present a tougher test than Burnley right now, but must be optimistic nonetheless.

Palace do arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium without Marc Guehi once again, who has been ruled out for a significant period with a knee injury.

And it seems that Eberechi Eze, who has recently been linked with a move to Spurs, remains a doubt too.

That being said, Ian Wright has now shared his score prediction when speaking on the ‘’ podcast.

Wright seemed fairly firm in his opinion that Tottenham would beat Palace, even if they are enjoying a ‘new manager bounce’.

Sharing his prediction, Wright perhaps thought it could be a difficult afternoon for Spurs in their quest to collect the three points, though.

He said: “I think Spurs will beat them. Tottenham, 2-1.”

And if Palace are still missing a few key players on the weekend, Tottenham should now be in a strong position.

Perhaps Pedro Porro may require a later fitness test but it seems that both he and Destiny Udogie could return to Postecoglou’s XI.

Udogie and Porro were both spotted back at Hotspur Way this week, a big boost for their manager.

Ben Davies and Emerson Royal are two excellent squad players for Tottenham, but they simply can’t fulfil the same role as the duo mentioned above.

And given Tottenham have very few issues elsewhere in their squad right now, many might agree with Wright’s prediction of a win against Palace.

All that being said, journalist Alasdair Gold has admitted that he’s not sure if one Spurs player will be at the club next season.
