Rodrigo Bentancur started the match for Spurs. The £15.8 million () star was deployed as one of two holding midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The 26-year-old played for 83 minutes when he was substituted.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright was following the match for ITV, and the pundit was impressed by the display produced by Bentancur in the first half.
Wright said on : “Bentancur is beautiful to watch. If they can get the ball from Bentancur into Lo Celso and he can turn in and get Richarlison on the shoulder like we saw for that chance, then I think they will cause them more problems.”

Rodrigo Bentancur playing two matches in a space of a few days is a massive boost for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Uruguay international midfielder made his long-awaited comeback against Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend.
Bentancur was involved in one of the goals for Spurs. He was not at his best against Burnley in the FA Cup on Friday evening, but he did wear the captain’s armband and looked lively during his time on the pitch.
