Arsenal beat Manchester City 5-1 at the weekend in what was perhaps the Gunners’ best Premier League result in a decade.

Arsenal dominated the current Premier League cha🐎mpions, but, unfortunately, a lot of t𓆏he headlines after the game weren’t focused on the performance.

Indeed, this was a really fe🐼isty game with plenty of sub-plots.

Gabriel Magalhaes had a go at Erling Haaland after Arsenal went 1-0 up, while Myles Lewis-Skelly took a potshot at Haalan🐓d by emulating his celebration after scoring a goal.

For the second time in as many weeks, Lewis-Skelly has✅ dominated the headlines.

Lewis-Skelly was contro♊versially sent off against 🅺Wolves last week, and after that red card was overturned, he’s now mocked the most h𒀰igh-profile player in the Premier League.

As you can 🐎imagine, there’s been a l🗹ot of reaction to Lewis-Skelly’s antics, with some labelling the teenager as disrespectful.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has shared his verdict on the reaction to Lewis-Skelly’s celebration, and he says it’s pathetic how people have beenౠ talking about this incident.

Wright spoke about how people have reacted to Myles Lewis-Skelly’s celebratioﷺn.

Wrigꦚht said that it was pathetic how the footballing world has been speaking about the youngster in light of his celebration.

“They’re starting to see it now because the reason why they’re so vexed about it and saying what they’re saying is because they can see the Arsenal coming. I can’t believe how everybody went in respe🌃cts of Myles Lewis-Skelly’s cele🐼bration.

“It’s just pathᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚetic. People constantly talking about no personalities and he hওasn’t even said anything.”

Wright saꦦys it is pathetic that Lewis-Skelly’s celebration has dominated the discourse after this game, and he’s not wron♏g.

Indeed, Arsenal have just pickedꦐ up one of the best wins they’ve ever had, and too much of the talk is around a goal celebration.

Not only was Lewis-Skelly’s celebration a minor moment in a game full of drama, Lewis-Skelly’s own per𓂃formance should’ve been the main talking point instead.

This was a teenager taking a game of this magnitude by the scruff of the neck, and 🐬his stats show just how good he was on the day.

Lewis-Skelly is a top talent, and it would be a shame if incidents like the red card vs Wolves and the celebration vs Manchester City c🍒ontinued to stop peopl𒁃e from acknowledging his ability.
