Arsenal are likely to name Charlie Patino and Salah Oulad M’hand in their squad for their FA Cup trip to Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, Wijnaldum has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Liverpool.

Speaking to Dutch news outlet back in October, Wijnaldum said that he was ‘not completely happy’ in Paris.

The Anfield cult hero felt he hasn’t been given enough opportunities to play consistent minutes.

According to , Arsenal were one of the first clubs to reportedly register their interest in a Wijnaldum loan.

And Wright has backed the Gunners to try their luck in bringing the Premier League and Champions League winner to London.

“People like Thomas Partey going away (to AFCON),” Wright said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, via the .

“You do need to then maybe bring in, Wijnaldum, I saw Wijnaldum’s name.

“That would be amazing. A loan signing from PSG. Someone like that in the midfield, experienced.

“He’s a Premier League winner, just to help with the youngsters and someone like (Albert) Sambi Lokonga, just to keep it going.

“Then they can just start adding on to the squad.”
