Ian Rush calls for Mo Salah to sign Liverpool contract extension
Ian Rush wants to see Mo Salah sign a new deal.
The former Liverpool man knows a thing or two about scoring at Anfield, much like the man in question, Mo Salah.
Over the weekend Salah reached his latest goal scoring milestone as he bagged his 100th goal in the Premier League.
In total, the Egyptian has 128 goals for the club ().
He still has some way to go to beat Rush’s 336 strikes for the Reds, though ().
If Salah is to get anywhere near Rush’s total then he’ll need to remain at Anfield for longer than the two years that he has left on his contract.

Fortunately, Rush is one of those who has been advocating for a new deal for the winger.
Speaking to the , Rush said:
“Everyone wants Salah to stay and I think there is a good chance he will because if he goes anywhere else, he won’t get the support he gets now.”
“Other supporters might like him, but Liverpool fans love him and that could be a deciding factor.”
It’s hard to argue with the Welsh legend.
The Anfield crowd adore Salah.
The love from the fans could well prove to be a deciding factor for the player.
If it’s not, a pay rise might well be.
Salah is already on a , although a new deal could see him earn even more.
Until a new deal is signed, fans will be keen to just see their star man continue to score goals in big games.
Liverpool face AC Milan in Europe this week as the Champions League returns.
That won’t be an easy game, but with an in-form Salah on the pitch anything is possible.
