Aston Villa fans can surely have no complaints about the current campaign – perhaps barring the Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace – and there has now been another exciting development involving Morgan Rogers.
Morgan Rogers signs new contract with Aston Villa, teammates react
Afte🌌r making his England debut in last week’s 3-0 win over Greec🀅e, life has become even better for Rogers with a new contract at Villa Park.
The Aston Villa No.27 has penned an extension running until July 2030 as reward for his excellent performances ඣin claret and blue, goi🦄ng from strength to strength under Emery ever since his £15m move from Middlesbrough in January 2024.
Rogers has scored three goals and provided two assists in 11 Premier League appearances so far this season, al🎃though his importance to the side g🤪oes far beyond goal involvements, with his unerring ability to drive forwards with the ball proving to be a key part of Aston Villa’s success.
After hearing the news, Ian Maatsen seemed pleased as he wrote “let’s go” on Instagram, while his fellow full-back Lucas Digne posted three fire emojis t⛦o express his delight.
Furthermore, Ezri Konsa uploaded an applauding emoji, as Matty Cash and Tottenham No.22 Brennan Johnson also congratulated Rogers – who Youri Tiel💟emans called a “top” talent.
Fantastic work from Unai Emery and Monchi
Rogers seemed like a bit🤪 of a gamble at a price of £15m – having only scored 🔯two goals in 26 Championship appearances before his move to the Midlands.

Howeve𝓡r, Emery and Monch🐎i – Director of Football at Villa Park – clearly saw something special in the man from Halesowen, and it hasn’t taken long for this gamble to pay off whatsoever.
In fact, Matthew Upson even cal🍌led Rogers a “shrewd” acquisition from the Villans.
In under 12 months, Rogers has become a full England international and also one of the Premier League’s best performers, with Aston Villa in a position to demand at least four times that £15m fee should anybody try to sign t✤he 22-year-old in the near future.
