Ian Holloway says Leeds are better than last season despite selling Kemar Roofe
Ian Holloway believes Leeds are a better side this season despite the sale of Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht late on during the transfer window.
As Holloway is enthused by Leeds’ prospects even without the hitman and believes they are a stronger outfit this time around.
He : “They are showing a little bit of the steel they might not have had at the end of last year. They will be stronger for that and they have a slightly better team – though they have lost Kemar Roofe.
“They are becoming a team that is used to handling the pressure. Last week at Barnsley was a fantastic result, with a clean sheet. They are looking the real deal.”

It’s already clear Marcelo Bielsa’s side are going to be much the same as last season; playing great football and dominating games, it’s just whether they can take their chances and keep their heads as the pressure builds.
The experience of last season should hold them in good stead when the pressure builds and Eddie Nketiah looks every bit an apt replacement for Roofe.
If he can stay fit for more of this season than Roofe and Patrick Bamford did of the last then he looks a real asset, who has embraced the expectations of leading the line for an enormous club.
