Simon Jordan thinks Spurs can win a trophy this season

.

The pundit was asked if people are getting carried away with Tottenham but he believes fans have every righ🥀t to be optimistic.

He said: “Spurs fans should be full of optimism. They should be full of a ▨belief that they’ve got a manager that’s not only a live one and a current one, but probably has got the board’s attention.

“If anyone’s labouring under the illusion that de﷽spite Conte’s best intentions of misdirection that his brief wasn’t to get Spurs into💛 the top four when Daniel (Levy) brought him in, then they’re not on point. He was brought in to achieve that.”

Jordan went on to say that fan𒉰s will have to manage their expectations but he wouldn’t be surprised if Conte won the League Cup or Europa League this season.

He added: “Go to the genesis of the question. No, not get carried away because you’re (Tottenham) not going to win the league, you’re not going to overtake Manchester City and Liverpool but you are going to start laying some real foundations for buildiꦯng a team that’s going to win something.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you won something next season. I wouldn’t be surprised if you won a poꦡt. Whether that be a League Cup or dropping out of the Champions Leaꦿgue at a stage and dropping into the Europa League. And taking that tournament to a position where Spurs could win something.

“I think with some of the signings Tottenham are making and some of the players they brought in last year that they must retain, the improvements in some of the players that are already there, that you should be optimistic for Tottenham. But you☂ should temper that b𝓀y saying our optimism should be about maintaining a position in the top four.”

It may be too early for Spurs to challenge for the Premier League title

It’s clear that Spurs are heading in the right direction once again after keeping Conte at the club and seemingly shaping the squad in his visiღon.

With Liverpool and Manche🍎ster City setting such a high standard, it’s difficult to see the club mounting a challenge for the Premier League title just yet.

But Conte is more than capable of competing for a trophy this season, especially with the tools he currently has at ♓his disposal after Spurs’ prꦍoactive summer window. And if the club continues to build over the next couple of seasons with Conte at the helm, the future could be bright in North London.
