‘I would sign’: Rio Ferdinand wants 23-year-old at Manchester United after links with Liverpool
Rio Ferdinand thinks Manchester United should make a move for Ronald Araujo, a player who has been linked with Liverpool too.
Late last year, claimed that the Old Trafford and Anfield camps were keeping close tabs on the Barcelona defender.
The outlet also cited sources claiming Liverpool are particularly keen on Araujo, with scouts having watched him throughout 2021.

Araujo is out of contract in June 2023, and his performances appear to have attracted a lot of attention.
Barca are reportedly keen to tie the 23-year-old defender down to a new deal. However, negotiations have dragged on throughout the season.
Araujo has been a key player for the Camp Nou outfit this season, making 30 appearances in all competitions.
However, Araujo is still on the terms of the five-year deal he signed way back in 2018. He has reportedly rejected two fresh offers from Barca.
Spanish newspaper reports that the stalemate has alerted United and Paris Saint-Germain to his potential availability.
On , a fan sent in a question asking the Old Trafford legend which two centre-backs he’d sign for United.
“Marquinhos, I would sign, and the Uruguayan at Barcelona,” he replied.
Admittedly, United could probably do with Araujo much more than Liverpool at this moment in time.
The Red Devils are in need of a rebuild. Meanwhile the Reds already have several superb central defenders in their ranks.
Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate are all vying for spots in Klopp’s XI.
