Vicario shares why he was ‘angry’ after Tottenham beat Burnley
Vicario admitted he was furious after Spurs presented Burnley with a decent opportunity at the end of the game.
But he also conceded that he shouldn’t have blamed only Sessegnon after Spurs nearly gave away a 1-0 lead.
“Maybe it was not the best thing to do,” the Spurs goalkeeper said. “If you have to say something, the right way is to do it in the dressing room.
“It was just about the structure we had in the set pieces, we were not set well. I was angry because it was the last ball and they had a good chance.
“I can’t put the blame on Sess, of course. It’s just to keep your attention high. So it’s about mentality and just not wanting to concede.”

Many Tottenham fans had seen the after the game and wondered what had caused Vicario’s fury.
They probably won’t be surprised to hear that he was riled up due to his side presenting Burnley with a late chance.
Nevertheless, it’s brilliant to see Vicario showing exceptional leadership qualities already.
The Italian is well within his rights to demand full focus from his defenders, especially when Spurs are attempting to see out a narrow win.
