‘I want to help Tottenham’: £12m PL player wants Spurs to get top-four, says he’s planning on beating Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur take on Arsenal in the North London derby tomorrow and Newcastle United star Kieran Trippier wants to help his old side win the top-four race this season.
The two North London sides are battling each other for that fourth spot to get back into the Champions League next term.
Arsenal are currently the favourites to get there. Mikel Arteta’s men are four points clear of their fierce rivals at the moment, and a win in the derby tomorrow night will get them over the line and knock Spurs out.
However, if Tottenham win, the final two games of the season will decide who gets the fourth place, and Trippier is keen to help his old employers out if that’s the case.
Kieran Trippier: I want to help Tottenham by beating Arsenal next week
The Englishman, who spent four years at Tottenham, still adores the club. He has now revealed that he’s keen to help Spurs next week by beating Arsenal at St James’ Park.
Speaking about Newcastle’s game against the Gunners on Monday, Trippier said, as per : It’s a massive occasion, the last home game of the season. The fans have been unbelievable since I arrived.
“Arsenal are fighting to get in the top four, I want to help Tottenham obviously and then Burnley staying up.
“It’s two different types of matches and they’re going to be up for it so we’ve got to make sure we match that.”

A look at the last North London derby
It’s always a massive occasion when Tottenham take on Arsenal, but the reverse fixture is one Spurs fans will not want to remember.
The derby at the Emirates earlier in the season is arguably what changed Arsenal’s season around. They blew Tottenham away in the first 30 minutes of the game and they’ll be hoping to do the same again tomorrow.
However, Tottenham are a very different side compared to what they were eight months ago.
Antonio Conte has taken Spurs to a whole new level now and considering they’ll be playing in front of a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the hosts may well go into the game as the favourites tomorrow night.
