‘I understand’… Alasdair Gold shares what he’s been told about Ryan Sessegnon’s injury now

Ryan Sessegnon hasn’t had any luck since signing for Tottenham in 2019.

The former Fulham man has been perennially injured since arriving in north London, and, in all honesty, it’s been very sad to see.

The full-back can’t stay fit, and over the weekend, he picked up another injury in an U21 game where he was playing to build up some fitness.

Speaking on the , Alasdair Gold has shared what he knows about Sessegnon’s most recent injury, and he says that while it is, once again, another hamstring problem, it’s actually his other hamstring that has been affected this time.

Ryan Sessegnon has done his other hamstring

Gold shared what he knows about the 23-year-old.

“33 minutes was when he went down. You looked at him and he stayed down with his hands on his head, he was absolutely gutted. The physios worked on him for five minutes, and he couldn’t even put much weight on it. It was just rubbish. From what I understand it is a hamstring problem, but this time it’s on the other side,” Gold said.

Nightmare

We can’t help but have massive sympathy for Sessegnon.

This young man looked set to be the next big thing in English football at one point, but he’s not been able to reach his potential due to a litany of injuries.

Sessegnon’s body continues to let him down, and sadly, it really does look as though he may never make it at Tottenham now.

Fingers crossed Sessegnon can put these injury issues behind him at some point because this young man’s career is now being destroyed by something that is totally beyond his control.

Sessegnon has had no luck at Spurs, and it’s genuinely sad to see such a talented player have their development hampered like this.
