‘I think they will’: Mark Lawrenson makes Leeds v Wolves prediction

Leeds United welcome Wolves to Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s charges have been struggling this season, while Bruno Lage’s side is in great form.

Leeds did manage to get their first win of the season before the international break, beating Watford 1-0 at Elland Road.

However, the Whites followed that up with an uninspired performance against Southampton last time out, losing 1-0 at St Mary’s.

Meanwhile, Wolves are hoping to make it four wins in a row following their comeback triumph at Aston Villa last time out.

Late goals from Romain Saiss, Conor Coady and Ruben Neves gave Bruno Lage’s side a stunning 3-2 win in Birmingham.

Mark Lawrenson is optimistic about Leeds’ chances in the long term.

However, he doesn’t feel they’ll find form until Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford are back, tipping the game to finish 1-1.

“Wolves are on a roll, with four wins in their past five games, and they are scoring some goals now too,” Lawrenson wrote on .

“Meanwhile, Leeds lost again last week, at Southampton.

“They were without Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha and Patrick Bamford at St Mary’s and Raphinha might be the only one of that trio who plays here.

This is a tricky time for Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa but I think they will find some form soon.

“It might not happen until Phillips and Bamford are back though.”

Leeds are currently 17th in the table, three points above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Wolves are 10th in the standings.
