Nikola Vlasic has been speaking to the media after West Ham’s 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb last night, and he’s heaped praise on David Moyes.

What’s the story?

Well, Vlasic only signed for West Ham on August 31st, although Moyes has already left him impressed in such a short space of time.

As quoted by Index, the man said: “I think the manager, Moyes, is really doing a great job and that was seen today. Dinamo are a great team, we know that, they have shown that in recent years. We prepared well and we executed the plan very well.”

Croatia international and the Scot.

Also, the 23-year-old could simply be trying to get into his manager’s good books as he looks to beat the competition ahead of him.

Where will Moyes use Vlasic for West Ham?

It’s a nice problem for a manager to have, but still a problem nonetheless.

Having spent so much money on Vlasic, you’d expect him to be a regular member of West Ham’s starting XI.

However, we’re not sure where the ex-Everton forward fits in without another first-team member dropping out.

Moyes already has a frontline of Jarrod Bowen on the right, while Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals alternative between the left and the centre.

Of course, Michail Antonio leads the line.

So, is Vlasic going to be used purely to add squad depth, or does Moyes have a special plan for his marquee signing?

Only time will tell, although he’ll surely be pleased to hear his new No.11 speak highly of him to the media.
